>HOSPITAL SET FOR SURGERY(UBS 2210) Patient during their stay in the hospital most of the time spent in hospital room. In the intensive care rooms, quality of illuminance is not of primary significance,as it is in the case of classic treatment hospital rooms. It is more important to make optimal conditions for the patients(often in critical health condition) care. We distinguish three types of the hospital care hospital sets, depending on the design, number and type of used outlets: Coronary unit hospital set (UBS 2230) can be mounted only on the ceiling, surgery hospital set can be mounted on the ceiling (UBS 2212) and on the wall (UBS 2211), dialysis hospital set can be mounted on the wall (UBS 2221) and on the ceiling (UBS 2222). Illumination of the hospital rooms should support the patient recuperation and easy adaptation to the hospital atmosphere. General illumination of the hospital room is exclusively realized as indirect one. Illuminating source is positioned above the patient bed, to obtain required even distributed illumination in the room and the avoidance of shadows. Every bed is equipped also with reading lighting (direct lighting). This lighting is beamed, so the disturbance of the neighbor patients is avoided.
Illuminaton in the rooms with beds should enable the patient examination and therapy practice (working lighting), together with orientation and surveillance lightings. Technical requirements concerning the illumination are given in the DIN 5035 part 3 (“Artificial light internal illumination - Recommendations for the hospital illumination”) and are given in the following table:
This illumination is realized exclusively as indirect illumination. The hospital set UBS 2100 is composed of two fluo tubes (36W) with reflector which distributes light towards ceiling and wall. In this manner, even illumination of patient room without shadows is achieved. Reflector with fluo tubes is covered with transparent Plexiglas, and exchange of fluo lamps is quick and simple. Measured value of luminance for this type of illumination is 120 lx, according to the DIN 5035. Reading illumination or direct lighting is realized with one fluo lamp of 18W, with reflector that distribute light only to the underlying bed. This type of lamp is covered with plastic raster. For exchange of fluo tube, one need to dismantle plastic raster, and for the starter taking out, the service personnel should raise Plexiglas panel of the general lighting reflector. Measured value of luminance according to the DIN 5035 is 210 lx.
This lighting should enable good vision conditions during the examinations and other treatments in the patient curing in his bed.In this case, direct and indirect lightings should be switched on simultaneously. This results in luminance of 320 lx on the surface 0.85m above the floor, giving very good vision conditions. This type of illumination enables the personnel to freely circulate in the patient room and to survey the patients in night conditions. This lighting is realised with common bulb of 15W, in set of UBS 2100 type. Measured luminance value is 5 lx, that meets DIN 5035 standard. The patient set UBS 2100 HF is an improved set that utilizes fluo lamps with high frequency transformers with regulation possibility. This solution eliminates light flickering, reduces power consumption, improves luminance and prolongs tube life. Oba izvođenja bolesničkog seta hospitalne nege (UBS 2100, UBS 2100 HF) realizovana su sa standardnim štapastim cevima, što olakšava posao službi održavanja u bolnici. Besides the illumination of the patient room, hospital set UBS 2100 supplies necessary mains power and low DC voltage connectors to the patient bed.
All mains power and low voltage outlets are connected to the main (central) terminal that is positioned on the one end of the hospital set.

The hospital set UBS 2100 contains two copper tubes (8mm dia x 1mm) for oxygen and comprimed air distribution and one copper tube (12mm dia x 1mm) for the vacuum distribution. |
The hospital set is composed of two longitudinal aluminum profiles. There are all power and low power outlets on the upper profile, while the lower profile contains indirect and direct lighting lamps.
The indirect lighting can be switched on with an entrance door switch, connected to the upper profile central terminal. Direct lighting is activated with hand-set (RS) or electronic switch (EP).
Electronic switch for the direct lighting activation/deactivation, galvanic insulates the patient from the mains live lead. It is mounted in the x, on the lower side of the hospital set, for easy approach.
